Poppy Beifong is a minor character in Avatar: The Last Airbender. She is the wife of Lao Beifong, the mother of Toph Beifong, the paternal grandmother of Lin and Suyin Beifong and the great-grandmother of Baatar Jr., Opal, Wei and Wing.

Divorce[]
After learning that her husband failed to locate Toph after he hired two bounty hunters, Poppy was furious. Eventually, their relationship became so strained that Lao decided to leave Gaoling, while Poppy stayed behind, legally separated from him for two year. However, the parents eventually reconciled with their daughter and reach other, having a better rapport with them.
Housing Her Granddaughter[]
Sometime between The Rift and The Legend of Korra, Lao and Poppy eventually reconciled with each other and their daughter. She continued living on the Beifong estate.
In The Legend of Korra, Toph sent Suyin away to live with her grandparents for a while after her daughter committed crimes and resisted arrest against Lin.
