Professor Pomona Sprout is a supporting character in the Harry Potter franchise. She is the former Professor of Herbology at Hogwarts and the Head of the Hufflepuff House.
For the defenses of the Philosopher's Stone, Professor Sprout added Devil's Snare in her chamber. She met Harry Potter in the 1991-1992 school year when she taught his class.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets[]
When the Chamber of Secrets in 1992, Profesor Sprout and her colleagues came acrosst he Trio and Mrs. Norris was found petrified. She helped cure all the students petrified by creating a draught made from mandrake root. At the End-of-Term feast, she and Madame Pomfrey helped cure Mrs. Norris, Penelope Clearwater, Hermione Granger and others.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows[]
She returns in the seventh and final novel, fighting Voldemort's forces and watching Harry fight Lord Voldemort.
At some point, Professor Sprout retired because, by the time of the epilogue, Neville Longbottom was already the professor at Hogwarts.
