The Pirates are supporting antagonists in LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, serving as minor antagonists in both Season 2: Legacy of the Green Ninja and Season 4: Tournament of Elements and flashback anti-villains in Season 6: Skybound.
Led by the notorious Captain Soto, the Pirates were the original owners of the Destiny's Bounty, the flying ship belonging to the Ninja. However, No-Eyed Pete, the captain of the Bounty, steered the ship into a rock, causing Soto and his men to drown.
Over 200 years later, Lord Garmadon would accidentally resurrect the Pirates by using his Mega Weapon. There, Soto and his men waged a fight against the four-armed villain and the Serpentine, resulting in the Ninja jumping aboard the Bounty and fighting the Pirates themselves. After the battle was over, the Pirates were arrested by the Ninjago City Police and were thrown in Kryptarium Inmates.
Some Pirates were assumed to have broken out of prison, as some are seen in the crowd during Kai's underground fight in "The Invitation". In "The Greatest Fear of All", some Pirates fight the Ninja (alongside other villains) when they visit the prison trying to convince Pythor P. Chumsworth to help them fight against Master Chen and his Anacondrai Cultists.
