Perseus is the main protagonist of the 1981 film Clash of the Titans, a re-imagining of Perseus' misadventures from the Greek myths. He is the rightful Prince of Argos who is the son of Zeus and Danae who wins the hand of Princess Andromeda from answering the riddle. When Cassiopeia angers Thetis after accidentally claiming her daughter to be more beautiful than her and Perseus wronged her son, Calibos, he travels to the lair of Medusa in order to defeat the sea monster known as the Kraken.
