Princess Perla is a minor character in the 2023 adaptation of The Little Mermaid (based on the original 1989 Disney film). She is the princess of Atlantica, one of Ariel's sisters and one of King Triton's seven daughters.
She is based on Andrina from original The Little Mermaid film.
Personality[]
Perla is the most charismatic of all the sisters, radiating warmth and kindness. It is said that she once charmed and stopped a group of hungry orcas from attacking a colony of penguins. Out of all the sisters, Perla is the closest with Ariel, who she nicknames "Ari."
Perla rules the Piton Sea. The waters are temperate and very deep, it lies off the cartographic coast. Perla rules with good temperament, is very careful with her choices, and puts decisions to a vote to keep the peace. She shared her father's prejudice towards humans because they killed their mother when she was young.
