Christopher "Chris" Smith, also known as the Peacemaker, is a major character in the DC Extended Universe, serving as the secondary antagonist of the 2021 film The Suicide Squad and the titular main protagonist of Peacemaker.
He is a sarcastic vigilante who has the belief that peace can only be achieved through violence. He was a member of the second force of the Suicide Squad, only to betray them and murder their leader, Rick Flag. However, he was later defeated by Bloodsport and left in comatose state until he awoke.
Still under Amanda Waller's control, Smith was forced to stop a group of dating aliens called the butterflies, a parasitic race of creatures who used humans as hosts in planned on populating the Earth to take over it. Peacemaker becomes friends with Leota Waller Adebayo and the leader of the 11th Street kids. Over his mission, Peacemaker is it learns to become a better person while haunted by his past.
