Papi is the protagonist of the Beverly Hills Chihuahua film series as the tritagonist of the 2008 film and the main protagonist of its two sequels, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 and 3. He is the patriarch of the Chihuahua family who is mates with Chloe and the father of their children, Papi Jr, Rosa, Lala, Pep, and Ali.
