Nova is the main human protagonist of the 2017 film War for the Planet of the Apes. She is Maurice's adopted daughter and a human girl who survived the disease that led to the emergence of advanced apes. She is Caeser's chief human ally.
Her father-daughter relationship with Maurice and the other apes is proof that humans and apes can coexist with one another.
