The father-son relationship between human FBI agent Stiles Stilinski and Noah Stilinski.
These two are noted for their ingenuity, their support and care for each other, and overall warm relationship. However, after Stiles learned about the supernatural and that Scott McCall was a werewolf, Stiles never told his dad about the supernatural for fear that he would get killed. Despite this, Noah often divulged information to Stiles when he was working on cases because Noah realized his son had an affinity for law enforcement. This includes sharing with him some information about the Hale family fire. Noah was also indirectly responsible for helping his son figure out that Kate Argent was the one behind the attacks. However, Noah sometimes doesn't because he wants Stiles to live a normal life as much as possible.
In season 2, the tension between Noah and Stiles grew more when Stiles started acting out on impulse. This includes looking for Laura Hale's corpse twice, appearing at two crime scenes, and abducting Jackson Whittemore. However, Stiles was actually assisting Scott and Allison Argent in protecting Beacon Hills from the Kanima and Matt Daehler. Even though Noah was laid off from the job, he didn't have it in his heart to yell at Stiles because it would only make him feel worse. After Matt Daehler was taken care of, Noah was reinstated and had a seemingly better relationship with his son. He even showed rage towards Gerard Argent after seeing Stiles covered in bruises and gave him advice on love.
However, their relationship improved in Season 3A after Noah became aware of the supernatural. However, at first, he disbelieved his story before seeing it for himself in a battle between Scott McCall and Jennifer Blake, a Darach who was committing human sacrifices. Since then Noah has helped the McCall pack keep the town safe from supernatural threats. They hit a rough patch in Season 5 after Stiles grew withdrawn from Nish after accidentally killing the Wendigo-Lamprey Chimera Donovan Donati in self-defense after he threatened to kill Stiles and his father.
in 2013, Stiles was captured by the Ghost Riders and a victim of the Wild Hunt. The phantom of Claudia Stilinski was created to fill the void for Noah because of his close relationship with his son and also prevented him from ever remembering his son. However, with help from Stiles' girlfriend, Lydia Martin, Noah remembered his son and defended him from Claudia when she tried to kill Stiles. Noah and Stiles reunited in the Phantom Train Station and worked together to free the entirety of the town's population from the Ghost Riders' control. Afterward, Stiles left for Quantico, Virginia, where he began his internship with the FBI as part of his bachelor's degree program at George Washington University.
