Noah Stilinski is one of the main protagonists of the MTV series Teen Wolf. He is the sheriff of Beacon County Sheriff's Station, the father of Stiles Stilinski, one of the "parent figures" of the McCall Pack, the widower of the late Claudia Stilinski, and a close friend of Melissa McCall, Alan Deaton, Derek Hale, Jordan Parrish and Chris Argent.
Sheriff Stilinski is mostly unaware of the Supernatural until witnessing the Kanima in Season 2 and seeing Scott transform into a werewolf in Season 3. He uses his newfound knowledge of the Supernatural world that Melissa told him about and police resources to help the McCall Pack in any way he can.
Personality[]
Noah takes both his duties as a regular parent and pack parent seriously. He has been best friends with Melissa McCall since their children, Scott and Stiles often hanging out together. Due to the death of his wife, Noah was unable to move on from her death and wore his ring for the next eight years until he started dating again. Because of this, Noah had a very close relationship with his son. Despite Noah sometimes dismissing Stiles and getting somewhat frustrated with Stiles' antics, Noah realized that his son was a detective in his own right. He is also very conversant about the law and how criminals operate and think. This helped him with his strategy and problem-solving skills due to being a law enforcement officer and a soldier. When Stiles suspected Theo Raeken was up to no good, Noah told his son that an intelligent, guilty person would make a mistake. Noah deduced that Alan Deaton was being held captive at the First National Bank after seeing the Celtic symbol in his clinic matched the one on the bank. The sheriff also quickly realized that Jennifer Blake was actually Julia Baccari, the girl he had found injured in the world. Noah made the connection after he learned from Melissa the crows began throwing themselves against the window the night Julia's operation took place. Noah remembered the same thing that happened at his son's school and that Jennifer Blake was present there. Noah also knew how the Dread Doctors chose genetic chimera teenagers in hopes of creating the Beast of Gevaudan due to organ or tissue transplants.
Apart from Stiles, Noah is father towards his son's best friends. He treats Scott, who Stiles loves like a brother, as if he were his second son and treats Lydia something like a daughter, likely due to their own strained relationships with their biological fathers. He was even the one who was Melissa's first call after she tossed her husband, Rafael, who developed anger at him. He has acted fatherly towards most of the members of the McCall Pack, such as gently comforting Allison as she confessed her deepest fears and her mistake of breaking up with Scott and advising Parish not to leave Beacon Hills and abandon his duty as the deputy sheriff.

Additionally, like a Lydia'd mother, Noah was also one of those people who needed to see things to believe them. For example, when Stiles and Cora told him the truth about the supernatural community in season 3, Noah was angry and exasperated, even uncharacteristically lashing out at his son in the hospital. However, Noah opened his mind to the possibility when Stiles pointed out his mom would have believed him. After figuring out that the girl Noah found in the woods and Jennifer were the same, Stilinski became a firm believer when he saw Jennifer Blake survive a bullet and Scott turning into a werewolf for the first time.

Trivia[]
- Noah's first name was not established until Season 6, when his father called him. Previously, Noah had been referred to as "Sheriff Stilinski" or "Mr. Stilinski."
- This is similar to his son, Stiles, whose birth name has been previously alluded to in Season 1 and 3.
- Both Noah and Melissa found out Scott was a werewolf in a similar fashion.
- They both saw Scott in his werewolf form on accident and they were facing a major villain towards the end of the story arc (Matt and Jennifer).
- However, they each had different reactions when they found out.
- Melissa backed away in her cell in fear while Noah stood there in shock that Stiles had been telling the truth.
