Kurt Wagner, better known as Nightcrawler, is a fictional character within Marvel Comics. He is the son of the mutant terrorist Mystique and Azazel who was fostered by Margali Szardos. Rescued by Charles Xavier, Nightcrawler went on to become a hero and member of the X-Men.
In a recent storyline while Azazel is technically genetically related to Nightcrawler, it is revealed that he was actually born to Mystique and her wife Irene Adler.
History[]
X-Men Blue: Origins revealed that his parents were actually Mystique and her wife Destiny / Irene Adler; Mystique having shapeshifted into her male form of Sherlock Holmes to conceive him, with Destiny being the one to give birth to him. This makes him a child of true love born between two women.
