Nicodemus "Nick" West is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in the 2016 film, Doctor Strange.
He is portrayed by Michael Stuhlbarg.

In the film, West and Strange noticeably do not get along and have a strong rivalry with each other. After Stephen's accident, Nicodemus and Christine were able to save his life but nothing could be done about his hands. After the operation, West told Stephen to give his body time to heal but Strange coldy rebuffed him and blamed West for his suffering.
Months later, Strange returned with a wounded woman. Since he was unable to control his hands and operate on the Ancient One with Christine, he has Nick take his place. Despite Nicodemus' best efforts, the Ancient One still died of her injuries.
