Nick Fury is the director of the S.H.I.E.L.D. and a character in the Marvel Cinematic Unvierse. He is an overarching character in Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger, one of the three secondary tritagonists of Iron Man 2 (the other two being Black Widow and Happy Hogan), the deuteragonist of The Avengers and Captain Marvel, the tritagonist of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, a supporting character in Avengers: Age of Ultron, a post credits-scene character in Avengers: Infinity War and Spider-Man: Far From Home, and a minor character in Avengers: Endgame
In a post-credits scene, Fury approached Anthony "Tony" Stark, knowing full well he was Iron Man, saying he was not the only superhero out there. Fury then reveals his plans of the Avengers Initiative.

Carol returned Fury his pager, but has modified it for him to contact Carol for emergency situations.
After Keller retires, Fury was made director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and has Coulson on the look-out for the Tesseract. After being inspired by Danvers, Fury begins at initiative to recruit more people like Carol and names it the "Avengers Initiative" after looking at a picture of Carol in the army and seeing her nickname was "Avenger" in the Air Force.
Avengers: Endgame
After the Avengers collected the Infinity Stones from the past to undo Thanos' snap, Fury is resurrected by Bruce Banner, who successfully brings everyone back.
He later attends Tony Stark's funeral and briefly reunited with Carol.
