Neytiri is the deuteragonist of the Avatar franchise. She is the dueteragonist of the first film and the sequel, Way of the Water and Avatar 3. She is a young Na'vi princess who rescues Jake Sully in the Pandoran forests. Neytiri later becomes his mentor and his eventual love interest.
The character is portrayed by Zoe Saldaña in Avatar (2009) and its sequels, including Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) and the upcoming Avatar 3.
Neytiri was born in the year 2136 to Mo'at and Eytukan, the clan leader of the Otamicaya clan. She learned their songs to celebrate their connection to their biological entity, Eywa, and other lifeforms.

Neytiri's speech to the Metkayina about her husband's deed of being the next Taruk Makto mirrors her monologue to Jake in the original film: she first mentions her relative being the Taruk Makto, how they brought the clans together in a time of sorrow/Jake leading the clan to victory, and how all Na'vi people know their story.
