Narcissa Malfoy is a character in Harry Potter. She is the wife of Lucius Malfoy, the mother of Draco Malfoy and sister of Bellatrix Lestrange, and the matriarch of the Malfoy Family.
Initially serving as an unofficial Death Eater, Narcissa grew disillusioned with Lord Voldemort, but nonetheless, she and her family stayed loyal to him out of fear that he would kill them. Ultimately, Narcissa's love for her son made her finally betray Voldemort and lie about Harry Potter's death. This served as the catalyst for Voldemort's downfall.
She is portrayed by the late Helen McCrory.
Appearances
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
In the fourth book, Narcissa attended the Quidditch World Cup with her husband and son right before the Death Eaters' attacks.

In the summer of 1997, Narcissa reluctantly allows Voldemort to take up residence at their home but is not happy about it. At least a few months later, snatchers capture Harry, Ron and Hermione, taking them to Malfoy Manor, where Luna Lovegood, Dean Thomas and Garrick Ollivander are also being held hostage. Narcissa asks Draco to identify if the boy with the damaged face is Harry. Though Draco is sure it is Harry, he decides to say nothing. Fortunately for the heroes, Dobby, sent by Aberforth Dumbledore, comes to save them. However, Narcissa's sister manages to throw her knife and kill Dobby as the Trio and their friends escape. When Voldemort arrives at the manor he punishes the Malfoys and Bellatrix for their failure.
During the Battle of Hogwarts, Narcissa approaches Harry and whispers to see if her son Draco is alive like she does in the book. In order to get to Hogwarts and retrieve Draco, Narcissa lies and confirms Harry's "death" while the teen fakes it. This ultimately helps lead to Voldemort's downfall.
