Nana is a major antagonist in the Madagascar franchise. She is an elderly woman from New York City who always gets into a fight with Alex, calling him a "bad kitty".

Despite her old age, Nana is a skilled fighter, having beat both Alex and later Makunga in combat. After beating Makunga, she allegedly returned to New York off screen with Makunga in a cage. Are also has excellent leadership and survivalist skills, applying her knowledge in living off the reserve and creating a dam but unintentionally depriving the animals of water.
