Mystique (real name Raven Darkholme) is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics.
She usually appeared as an enemy of the X-Men and a member of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and the leader of her own incarnation, as well as the biological mother (technically biological father) of X-Men member Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler) and the foster mother of Anna Marie LeBeau/Rogue.
However, in recent years, she is sometimes portrayed as an anti-heroine throughout the years, being presented as a member of the X-Men in the present. Mystique has the ability to shapeshift into any person.
In the X-Men cinematic Universe Mystique was portrayed by Rebecca Romjin as an adult and Morgan Lily as a child. In Dark Phoenix, Raven's younger self is portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence, who also portrayed Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games franchise.
