Trivia[]
- He is the 2nd absentee father introduced in the series, after Mr. LaRusso, Hector Salazar and Mr. Nichols. Only Jr. Lawrence and Mr. Nichols willingly left their families while Mr. LaRusso passed away when his son was 8, and in Hectors case, he was ironically abandoned by his wife (and Mr. Lawrence's daughter-in-law) Carmen.
- It's implied that Coors Banquet was Mr. Lawrence's favorite beer. His son Johnny also drinks Coors Banquet and has often shared drinks with Daniel in Season 4 and 5, and Miguel after he successfully kissed Samantha.
- In light of their similarities, Johnny and Daniel have both realized that their senseis Kreese and Miyagi practically became their fathers due to their losing dads.
- Kreese filled the role of being Johnny's father. In fact, he's the only one who paid more attention to Johnny than his own father, referred to him as "son", and reconciled with Johnny in Season 6 by giving him ownership to Cobra Kai so he can defeat Terry Silver. Ultimately, Kreese sacrificed himself to save Johnny's wife and daughter.
