Morgana Le Fay (also known as Baba Yaga and the Pale Lady) is one of the main antagonists turned supporting antiheroes in the Tales of Arcadia franchise. She is the true main antagonist of Trollhunters, a background antagonist of 3Below and the secondary antagonist turned tetertagonist of Wizards.
She was a powerful witch with an affinity for shadow magic, the former apprentince of Merlin, a classmate of Douxie Casperan, the sister of King Arthur and the former princess of Camelot as well as the former champion of the Arcane Order.
She turned against Camelot after her brother's prejudice towards magical creatures got the better of them both. She ultimately planned to the plunge the world into darkness with the Eternal Night which she hoped to gain something from the chaos and carnage Gunmar and his Gumm-Gumm armies terrorizing the lands. However, Morgana was defeated during the battle of Killahead Bridge and was banished to the confinements of Heartstone Trollmarket. She quietly waited in the shadows for her revenge by sending her champion, Angor Rot to kill all of Merlin's trollhunters.
After being brought back by Gunmar and his forces Morgana helped bring about the Eternal Night. However, she was later defeated by Team Trollhunters and banished to the Shadow Realm by Claire Nunez and Toby Domzalski.
When she was brought back by the Arcane Order, Morgana became an ally of the Guardians of Arcadia. She sacrificed herself by defeating a corrupted and resurrected King Arthur, who she deemed no longer worthy of holding Excalibur. She was able to join Merlin in the afterlife, where she and Merlin bade farewell to Douxie
Background[]
In Legends, Morgana was the half-sister of King Arthur, whom she pretended to befriend in order to take over Camelot. However, in truth, Morgana and Arthur were close as children, as well as with Guinevere, the future Queen. As children, they would play together; however, while Morgana and Guinevere loved magic, Arthur saw it as nothing but demonic. Among the magical creatures were Nari, a demigoddess in tune with the wilderness. As she grew older, so did Morgana’s affinity with magic. Afterwards, she became an apprentice of Merlin to learn her craft. One day, Morgana went into the forest and was followed by her sister-in-law, who fell into a Stalkling nest. Failing to save Guinevere, Morgana’s relationship with her brother deterred, as he grew to unfairly treat magical creatures, such as trolls.
It is said that Morgana once betrayed and he took her hand. In truth, Morgana grew frustrated with Arthur's prejudice. Their relationship shattered and Morgana fought against Arthur and grew to hate Merlin as he sided with Arthur, causing Morgana to hold an everlasting hatred for him and his Trollhunters. During a duel between her and Arthur, Morgana lost her hand and her life. However, she was found by Angor Rot and later resurrected by the Arcane Order, who chose her as their champion. Since her Master sided with Arthur, feeling betrayed, Morgana turned against Camelot and joined forces with Gunmar, weaving a war between the trolls and the humans, leading to the war for the Surface lands and the creation of the Eternal Night. At this time, Morgana's hand was used to power the Amulet of Daylight. Learning of Merlin's Trollhunters, she was approached by Angor Rot, a once noble hero of trolls. Morgana cursed Angor's soul into the Inferna Copula and turned him into her troll assassin, sending him out to eliminate Trollhunters at any cost.
Morgana soon turned too powerful that during the Battle of Killahead Bridge, she was imprisoned below the caverns of the Heartstone Trollmarket by Merlin (with help from a time travelling Douxie) where she would do no more harm. However, Morgana remained awake as Merlin slept, plotting her revenge.
Due to Claire's prolonged exposure to using the Shadow staff when she saves herself and her allies from the Gumm-Gumm Army, Morgana is able to possess her. She revives Angor Rot and tries to get Claire to kill her boyfriend, Jim Lake. However, she is later exorcized from Claire by Jim, Toby Domzalski, Stricklander and Blinky. Apparently some of Morgana's memories stayed with Claire and she was able to chant ancient spells.

Differences from Arthurian Legends[]
- She is based on Baba Yaga from Russian legends. instead of being a creepy old hag, she's a ravishing young woman.
- Unlike the legends, where Morgana and Gunievere hated each other, instead Morgana and Gwen loved each other like sisters.
- In fact, Morgana blames herself for Gwen's death.
- In some legends, Morgana redeems herself, usually reconciling with Arthur. However, while this Morgana redeems herself, she and her brother do not reconcile, as she is the one who ends up killing him.
- She denies Arthur the right to wield Excalibur and throws it into a stone, combining the Sword in the Stone and Excalibur in Tales of Arcadia. Instead, Jim is the one who pulls Excalibur from the stone similar to Arthur.
- In some versions of the story Morgana is the Lady of The Lake.
