Mimmi (Allie Bertram) is one of the main characters of the Netflix original television series Mako: Island of Secrets. She comes to live on land with her best friend, Ondina, and fellow Sirena to remove Zac Blakely's power. However, through having shared visions, deep down, Mimmi and Zac had a connection: they are siblings who can share visions with each other or sense when the other is in danger.
History
Mimi was a mermaid born in the Northern Pod to Nerissa and had a younger brother, Zac. when Mimmi was a child, she had vague images of her mother including times when she would ride on Nerissa's back and hide in her long hair. One day, the family would be separated when the evil sorceress Aurora threatened the Northern and Eastern pods near China. Wanting her children safe, Nerissa sent her daughter to live with the Mako Pod and Zac to live in the Australian mainland.
With the siblings not far from each other, Nerissa knew that one day Zack and Mimi would be reunited with each other.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Telekinesis: The ability to move people or objects with the mind.
- Hydrokinesis: The ability to move, create or control water
- Hydro-Cryokinesis: The ability to turn water or any liquid into ice.
- Invisibility: The power to completely disappear.
- Atmokinesis: The ability to control or manipulate the weather.
- Vision Sharing: The ability to share visions with her brother, Zac. Wherever they are in trouble, they are able to see.
- Essence Manipulation: Ability to move a person's essence.
- Hydro-Thermokinesis: The ability to boil water or any liquid.
- Moon Spell Control: Since she was a hatchling, Mimmi had complete control of the moon spell save developed an immunity towards it.
- Speed-Swimming: The ability to swim at incredible fast speeds.
- Enhanced Breath: Being a mermaid, Mimmi can survive under water for longer periods of time than humans and can adapt to the air. However, she cannot stay under water too long or she will enter a hybernation stasis and had to come to the surface and she will reawake.
- Limited Transformation/Land Walking: With the Legs spell activated, Mimmi can transform between her human form and mermaid form. Upon contact with water, Mimmi turns into a mermaid within ten seconds. However, when she is completely dry, she can turn back into a human. Because this is limited she has no control.
- Thermal Resistance: The ability to adapt to any temperature of water. Since she is a Northern mermaid she can survive cold and warm waters
- Aquatic Adaptation: She can adapt to any marine culture.
