Mick Rory is one of the main characters of the Pre-Crisis Saga of the Arrowverse , debuting as a minor antagonist in the CW's The Flash and one of the main protagonists of DC's Legends of Tomorrow , According to him he got his nickname, Heat Wave , from Cisco Ramon but claims he got it because of his preference of setting things on fire. He started out as a criminal, but becoming a member of the Legends and Leonard's sacrifice made him realize the error of his ways and he transitioned from villain to hero. Mick is the crime fighting partner and best friend of the late Leonard Snart , a former adversary turned ally of Team Flash and a former member of the Legends. He was the son of Sergeant Dick Rory, the boyfriend of a woman named Kayla and the father of Lila and forty-eight other children.
