Matthew "Matt" Holt is a supporting character in Voltron: Legendary Defender. He is the son of Sam and Colleen Holt, the older brother of Katie "Pidge" Holt.He was communications expert and member of the Galaxy Garrison. Matt went missing, along with his father, Sam, and Shiro, during a Garrison mission to Kerberos. Later, having reunited with his sister, Pidge, Matt joined the Paladins and rebel coalition in the fight against the evil Galra Empire.
He is based on Pidge's twin brother, Chip from the original series.

Appearance[]
Matt possesses medium brown hair, light brown eyes, and fair skin. It is confirmed that he and his family are of Italian descent. Unlike his sister, Matt's age is not specified, but he is older than Pidge based on the way he acts around her, meaning he is estimated to be in his late teens to early twenties. Matt's hair was initially the same length that his sister Pidge's was. His hair is curved upwards, away from his neck and at his neckline. However, his bangs are to in a heavy cluster at the center of his foreheads However, it grew out during his missing years, long enough for him to wear a ponytail.
His facial features include a long, pointed chin. Since Matt's return to Earth, he is tall and has a muscular yet lean build, no longer resembling a male version of his sister.
His rebel combat attire is predominantly hidden beneath a dark gray cloak made of two pieces of fabric fastened around his waist. Even without the cloak, Matt dons a dark gray cowl at his neck that is sufficiently long to function as a hood. His rebel combat attire includes a mask to obscure his face. Underneath, Matt is clad in a black space suit paired with a white chest plate that is connected to orange and blue sleeves, complemented by gray arm bracers and black gloves. He also wears blue trousers featuring a large gray holster on his right hip, designed to accommodate his staff weapon in a more compact form. Additionally, he appears to have his shins wrapped in white cloth and sports oversized gray boots.
Personality[]
One of his redeeming qualities was the love he felt for his family. He is proud of his sister being a paladin and had Shiro make it so he wouldn't have to fight. He soon joined a rebel cell under his leadership after their mission he missed from.
