Scott allowed Liam to tell Mason about the supernatural creature. As Mason came on board in the pack, Scott was surprised that Mason was ecstatic to become part of the supernatural world and eventually accepted him back to his pack. Mason also stopped Liam from killing Scott under the super moon and helped Melissa bring Scott backto life. Since this incident, Mason kept a closer eye on Liam and headed his best friend reconcile with Scott. In the second half, Scott was shocked to learn the Mason was turning into the Beast of Gevaudan every night and was concerned for him when the Dread Doctors abducted him. When the Beast took Mason over, Scott was determined to save his friend from possession. After his ally, Chris Argeny, gave Scott Marie Jeanne's pike, the young werewolf was able to save Mason. He used it to kill the Beast of Gevaudan a second time after Lydia Martin exorcized it from Mason with her Banshee scream while saving a friend in the process.
