Martian Manhunter is a fictional character in the DC Extended Universe. Born J'onn J'onzz, he is a Martian from the planet Mars. J'onn sought refugee on Earth, where he passed off as Calvin Swanwick, a five-star general of the United States Army. He is a former rival turned Ally to Superman, and later, an offshore ally of the Justice League, warning Batman of the oncoming war that Darkseid will bring to Earth.

J'onn J'onzz is a green Martian from the planet Mars. After his entire family was slaughtered, J'onn went to live on Earth amongst it's people. Disguised as a human, J'onn eventually joined the US Army, adopting the alias Calvin Swanwick. He rose up to the ranks, eventually becoming a general. Being an alien meant J'onn had to hide who he was and he began protecting the world from extraterrestrial threats.
