Mart Mattin (born Mart Sato ) is a young pilot who appears in the Disney XD animated series, Star Wars Rebels . He is the nephew of Commander Jun Sato through Commander Sato's late brother and sister-in-law and the leader of Iron Squadron, the name of his late father's detachment. His uncle describes Mart to be rebellious, and despite being a brave and gifted pilot he is also very stubborn, especially when he refused to leave his home world. He took on his mother's maiden name which is why it doesn't match his father.
It is shown in the comics that Mart mourned the loss of his uncle and had Wedge, Gooti and Jonner to comfort him on his loss.
