Trivia[]
- In the book, Marie is the name of the main heroine. It was changed for this movie and the ballet.
- Her daughter Clara is based on Marie from the book. This stems from the fact that in some adaptations of The Nutcracker, Marie is called Clara in several performances and movies such as Clara from The Nutcracker Prince and the version from Barbie in the Nutcracker. Instead, Marie and Clara are two separate characters who coexist in the film.
