Marie Jean's Pike is a crucial weapon featured in the supernatural drama series Teen Wolf. The weapon was forged by Marie-Jeanne Valet and used by her and her descendants Chris' and Alison's ally, Scott McCall. It is the only think capable of defeating her brother Sebastien Valet when he terrorized the French village known as Gévaudan.
History[]
Upon the discovery that her brother, Sebastien Valet, was the legendary Beast of Gévaudan, Marie Jeanne conspired with her husband, Henri to forge a weapon that could kill him. She forged a pike that was made with steel mixed with mountain ash, her blood and wolfsbane, forged in the night of the full moon.
Marie-Jeanne hunted her brother for 3 years until finally tracking Sebastien in an unknown forest during Winter 1767. She used the Pike and successfully impaled him with it, mortally wounding him instantly. Despite her successful kill, Sebastien boasted that his name would go down in history has the most feared Beast of Gevaudan. However, Marie Jeannerevealed that she planned on punishing him with damnatio memoriae, striking his name from recorded history to ensure that he would not be remembered by name, but only as a beast.
Many years later, the Pike was used by Scott McCall (an ally of Marie's descendants Chris and Allison) to kill the Beast of Gevaudan after Lydia Martin exorcized it from Mason Hewitt's body.
