Maria Robotnik is the posthumous overarching protagonist of the 2024 sci-fi film Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

She is a young human, the granddaughter of Gerald Robotnik and the cousin of Dr. Eggman as well as the late best friend of Shadow the Hedgehog. Her death left a terrible impact on Shadow, who sought to destroy the world rather than honor her code to protect humanity from destruction.
