Mar-Vell is the overarching protagonist of the 2019 film Captain Marvel. She is a gender-swapped version of the character from Marvel Comics, Carol Danvers' mentor and Goose's former owner.
Mar-Vell is a female Kree who is Carol Danverse' mentor, Dr. Wendy Lawson. Realizing the true nature of her people, Mar-Vell helped the Skrulls of Talos' homeworld hide.
