The Mane Six (formerly known as the Mane 5) are the titular main protagonists of Generation 5 of the My Little Pony franchise. Like the previous incarnation, the Mane Six is mixed with the three different species, Pegasi, Earth, Alicorns, and Unicorns. They are the next g generation of ponies who keep balance and peace in Equestria after magic returns to the land after a hundred years. It was founded in My Little Pony: A New Generation by Izzy Moonbow and Sunny Starscout, who were soon joined by Hitch Trailblazer, Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals to restore magic to the land, making the group initially known as the Mane 5.
In the mini series, Make Your Mark, Misty Brightdawn officially journey the group as their sixth member.
