Queen Mala is a recurring character featured in DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon franchise. She débuts in "Defenders of the Wing," the thirteenth and final episode of the third season in Dragons: Race to the Edge.
She is voiced by Adelaide Kane, who portrays Drizella in Once Upon a Time and Queen Mary in Reign.
Background[]
Mala is the queen of the Defenders of the Wing, a group of warriors who worship dragons. She is served by her loyal bodyguard, Throk. In season 6, Mala and Dagur fell in love and married in the series finale.

Season 3[]
Mala first appears in the series, where she and her Defenders of the Wing capture Hiccup and his friends, mistaking them for dragon hunters. She initially is mistrustful of this band until they price to get they are allies of the dragons. However, when Trappers lead by Viggo Grimborn, Mala accused Hiccup and his friends of lying, swearing to kill the teen herself.

In the series finale, Mala, on the back of Sleuther with Dagur, assists Hiccup and their friends in defeating Johann and Krogan and married Dagur in the aftermath.
