This article is about Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars Legends continuity. For the character from the mainstream timeline, see Luke Skywalker.
Luke Skywalker is one of the main characters of the Star Wars Legends series. He was the son of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Senator Padmé Amidala, the twin brother of Princess Leia Organa, the father of Ben Solo, the brother-in-law of Han Solo, the nephew of Owen Lars and Beru Whitesun, and the uncle of Jaina Solo, Jacen Solo and Anakin Solo. Becoming a Jedi after aunt and uncle's deaths at the hands of the empire, Luke became a member of the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War, facing Darth Sidious and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Married to former assassin Mara Jade Skywalker and the father of their son Ben, Luke would begin to dedicate himself to fulfill Yoda's last request to train a younger generation of Jedi, becoming the leader of a new faction of Jedi, including his son and Leia's children, Jaina, Jacen and Anakin before his eldest nephew's fall to the dark side.
In the years to come, long after the second Galactic civil War, Luke would become a very influential figure across the Galaxy and a legacy that would last through stories and legends, including his own descendants, Cade, Nat and Kol.

His mainstream counterpart's history post- Return of the Jedi is different. Like his mainstream counterpart, Luke was raised in Tatooine, and eventually became a pilot when he became a member of the Rebel alliance. In these adventures, he met his future wife, Mara Jade during the Thrawn crisis and later married her, having a son, named Ben, after Luke's and his father's first mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Through his twin sister, Luke is the maternal uncle of Jaina Solo, Jacen and Anakin Solo and the paternal great-uncle of Allana Solo (Jacen and Tenel Ka Djo's daughter). Posthumously, Luke would have direct descendants such as Cade, Nat and Kol Skywalker and distantly related to Marasiah Fel and Ania Solo.
