Trivia[]
- When Lois first meets Tess Mercer, both Erica Durance and Cassidy Freeman believe that their first meeting has lesbian subtext.
- Lois was first allueded to in "Erase" when Chloe tells her publisher to use her cousin's name as an alias. She also tells her publisher Lois has no interest in becoming a reporter. However, this also foreshadows Lois' role as a reporter as well.
- Lois has five love interests: Clark Kent, Grant Gabriel, Oliver Queen, Orin,a nd Wesley Keenan
- Of the five, three of them, Clark, Oliver and Arthur were vigilantes and members of the Justice League.

- On Earth-One, Lois was romantically involved with Oliver Queen and later gained him as a cousin-in-law through his marriage to Chloe. In Earth Two, Lois was married to Oliver Queen.
- There are several notes that foreshadow Clark and Lois' future relationship.
- In the first two episodes, Martha and Lois talk about relationships, where Lois wants a "nerd with glasses" over a farm boy. Martha answers back by saying falling in love with a farm boy "happens to the best of us." This is rather ironic, because Lois marries Clark, who is both a farm boy and a nerd with glasses.
- Lana was the first to mistake Lois and Clark to having romantic feelings for her.
- When Clark talks to Martha about his relationship with Lana , he has doubts of ever finding someone who will get him. A few minutes later, Lois drives up.
- Additionally, Lois is often seen wearing blues and reds, colors associated with Superman and ones that Clark often wears. In Smallville, characters wear colors associated with the superhero.
- This was further alluded to in Season 6:
- Oliver also noted Clark and Lois being together in the future. He stated he knew what it was like to hide romantic feelings by masking it in sarcasm, much to Lois and Clark's disappointment.
- When Clark pretended to be the Green Arrow in order to exonerate Oliver from Lois' suspicions of Oliver being the arrow, Lois admitted to Chloe that the Green Arrow (meaning Clark) was a "good kisser."
- Shortly after breakin gup with Oliver, Jimmy attempts to set Clark and Lois up. She ends up using red kryptonite infected lipstick and that enhances Lois' romantic attraction towards Clark.
- In Season 9, Dr. Fate sees Lois' destiny as the future wife of Superman.
Quotes[]
- (Chloe: Five credits in one semester? Lois, the only way you're gonna do that is if you add an extracurricular to your class list. Like, say, maybe... writing for the Torch.) Lois: Uh, no hard feelings here, cuz, but unlike you, the last thing I want to be is a reporter.
- Nice arm, farm boy. When's the first game?
- Wow, she didn't take any prisoners, did she? Lana? Cute, smart, gutsy... and way too much for you to handle. I can see why you're in love with her.
- Oh, don't start with me, Smallville. You're the one taking the marathon shower. Besides, my delicate feminine sensibilities weren't offended the first time I got a glimpse of, uh, Clark Junior.
- Okay. Better make sure that camera is loaded with ammo because I got tomorrow's headline. "Daughter of Nobel-Winning Astronomer Murdered."
