Early History[]
Though Liam was introduced in the third episode of Season 4, Mason did not debut until the fourth episode, "Muted." Similar to Stiles and Scott, it is heavily implied that Liam and Mason have been best friends, at least since the sixth grade. Mason recalled during that grade, Liam had accidentally punched Hayden in the face when she was attempting to stop him and another fellow student in the middle of a violent fight. Though they separated when Liam started attending Davenford Prep, they resumed their friendship after Liam transferred to Beacon Hills High School.
