He was portrayed by Michael Rosenbaum who also portrayed Zod in the same series, another version of Lex Luthor (when possessing The Flash) in Justice League Unlimited, Adina/Adam in Sorority Boys and voiced Drago in Jackie Chan Adventures, Johnny Charisma in Batman: Arkham Knight, Lieutenant Franzee in Justice League, and Ghoul and Terminal in Batman Beyond.
Trivia[]
- Even before they were arch enemies Lex has always felt jealous of Clark.
- In certain episodes, Lex has experienced feelings of envy towards Clark's close bond with his parents, as Lex himself lacks such a loving relationship. This envy becomes particularly evident after two hostage situations, namely "Jitters" and "Insurgence," where Lex observes Clark being warmly embraced by his parents, Jonathan and Martha, while Lex's encounters with his own father, Lionel, remain cold and distant. This stark contrast can be attributed to the absence of love and affection that Lex received from both Lionel, who was emotionally distant, and the early loss of his mother, Lillian.
- This jealousy was further amplified in Season 7 when Lex eventually grows tired of Lionel constantly protecting and always directing his paternal instincts towards Clark.
- He was sometimes jealous of Clark's closest friendships with Chloe Sullivan, something Lex doesn't have.
- This is further explored in Season 5 when Clark Kent ends up winning the heart of Lana Lang, a woman Lex desires. When Lana and Clark broke up, Lex takes the opportunity to take advantage of Lana's situation and make her his girlfriend to make Clark jealous. He even takes it further by only inviting Clark to his wedding to Lana in a way to mock him.
