Laurent is one of the two secondary antagonists in Stephanie Meyer's highly-acclaimed vampire romance novel Twilight and a minor antagonist in its sequel, Twilight: New Moon. He is a member of James' and Victoria's coven who later seeks to kill Bella Swan for her blood. However, she is saved by giant wolves, unaware that one of them is Jacob. He is later hunted and killed by the Uley pack.
