Kuvira is a minor character in Book Three: Change and the main antagonist of Book Four: Balance of Nickelodeon's The Legend of Korra and the deuteragonist of the sequel graphic novel Ruins of the Empire.

She is a metalbender, the former leader of the Earth Empire, and a member of the Metal Clan in Zaofu. Abandoned by her biological parents, Kuvira was adopted by Suyin Beifong and her family, who treated Kuvira as is she were her own daughter.
