~ Kolivan scolding Keith
Kolivan is a supporting character in the Voltron: Legendary Defender series. He is a Galran, the leader of the Blade of Marmora, and a close ally of Team Voltron who has a close relationship with both Keith and Krolia.
He is initially distrustful of working with the Voltron team, thinking Keith had stolen a Marmora blade, but once Keith proves his rightful ownership of the blade with his Galran heritage, Kolivan agrees to ally with Allura and the Paladins to defeat Zarkon.
He is gruff and hard at trusting of outsiders in his first appearance. He initially believes Keith to have stolen one of his soldiers' blades, unaware that the sword was in fact a gift his mother left him. However, Kolivan started trusting Team Voltron once he saw Keith activate the sword due to his heritage, as only someone with Galran blood can access their technology.
He has a fairly close relationship with his soldier, Krolia, who is also Keith's biological mother but the exact nature of their relationship is up to the viewer's interpretation. He also acts as a mentor and occasinal fatherly figure toward Keith whenever he lets his temper get the better of him.
