Knull is the main antagonist of the Venom comic book series published by Marvel Comics. He was a primordial being of darkness who is the creator-god of the Symbiotes. Knull is one of the arch-enemies of Venom and his host, Eddie Brock. Knull is also enemies with Thor Odinson and has retroactively been added to be one behind Gorr the God Butcher's attacks on deities. Knull specifically served as the main antagonist in Donny Cates’ Silver Surfer: Black #1 and the crossover event between Venom and the Avengers, King of Black.
The character was first introduced in Venom vol. 4 #3 (Aug 2018), giving a nod to a nameless being appearing in Thor: God of Thunder #6. He was created by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman.
