King Cenred was the ruler of the kingdom Essetir and one of the major antagonists of the BBC series, Merlin.
He was an ally of Morgause before her betrayal and an enemy of Uther, Arthur and Camelot.
He's portrayed by Tom Ellis, who also portrayed Lucifer Morningstar in television series Lucifer and played the first version of Robin Hood in Once Upon a Time

Cenred was ultimately betrayed by Morgause when she controlled a soldier bound to her will after he spilled his blood in the Cup of Life and had the immortal soldier murder Cenred.

After Cenred’s death, the throne of Essetir was taken by King Lot. He was either related to him or King Lot conquered the kingdom. During his encounter with Merlin and Arthur, Kristen was surprised that they were heading to Escetir According to Tristan, King Lot allegedly decorates the castle with the heads of his enemies. ("4.12 The Sword in the Stone")
Elyan refers to Essetir as Cenred's kingdom when the shade recreation of Lancelot tells the fabricated story that Morgana told him to reveal how he "survived" his journey through the veil. ("4.09 Lancelot du Lac")
