Caitlin Snow, also known as Killer Frost, is a character of Arrowverse, who débuts in the twenty-third episode of the first season of The Flash and is portrayed by starring cast member Danielle Panabaker. She is also the ruthless Earth-2 doppelganger and counterpart of Caitlin Snow as well as a metahuman and high ranking member of Zoom's metahuman army.
She is based on Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost and an allusion to Crystal Frost and Louise Lincoln from the Firestorm and The Flash.
History[]
Caitlin Snow was a meta-human criminal from Earth-2 who was in league with the evil speedster Zoom. She had a brother, Charlie, who died at some point in her youth. Charlie's death deeply affected Caitlin's mother, and she became cold, violent, unfriendly, and antipathetic.
Caitlin was affected by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator, giving her cryokinetic abilities. Since then, Caitlin cut off all ties to her past life and began calling herself "Killer Frost".
She is attacking thieves who have stolen gold worth two million dollars from the Central City Royal Bank. Claiming that the town belongs to Zoom and those he deems worthy enough to enforce his will, she throws a icicle into the thugs' stomach, killing him.She gets rid of the other heister by kissing him, thereby freezing his entire face. When Earth-1 Barry Allen and Cisco Ramon joined Harry Wells from Earth-2, Barry impersonated his Earth-2 counterpart. Ronnie Raymond informs her that breachers have entered their world. Killer Frost claims that her favourite activity is killing people from other earths and the two set out to kill the breachers.
Following her betrayal in assisting Earth-1 Cisco in rescuing Barry, she was confined and placed in a cage, as her resemblance to Caitlin, the woman he cherished, was too painful for him. When Zoom ultimately abducted her Earth-1 counterpart, whom he loved, Killer Frost came to the realization that Zoom had retained her solely due to her similarity to her Earth-1 doppelganger. Thus, Killer Frost decided to murder her counterpart despite Caitlin bonding with her over their cold relationship with her mother and setting Caitlin -2 free. However before she could do so, she was killed by Zoom with her own icicle. Infuriated with Caitlin, "Jay" scolded her and warned her that if she tried that again by freeing the other prisoner (the real Jay Garrick), he would kill him. Even though her Earth-2 doppelganger tried to kill her, Caitlin was disgusted by Zoom's actions, making her even more afraid and hatred towards him.

- Caitlin and Ronnie's couple song is "My Funny Valentine".
- Unlike Earth-1 Caitlin Snow, Caitlin is more willing to show off her body. However, after Earth-1 Caitlin got powers, her Killer Frost side changed clothes in front of Iris, Felicity, and Cecile, implying that it's only the Killer Frost persona in both versions of Caitlin who doesn't like to dress modestly. Additionally, unlike her Earth-Earth-2 counterpart, Earth 1 Killer Frost reforms, changes her name to Frost and has a good heart.
- Apparently, Caitlin Snow doesn't exist on Supergirl's Earth. However, as shown by Jay Garrick being Henry Allen from Earth-3 and Barry Allen from Earth-90, same versions of people do not necessarily have the same name.
- Caitlin shares some similarities with Earth-2 Laurel Lance; both women turned to a life of crime upon gaining powers due to past traumas over deaths in the family. They both worked for Zoom and were in love with the same men of their Earth-1 doppelgängers were. They have similar snarky and sadistic natures, willing to attack and mock the Earth-1 versions of themselves. However Earth 2 Laurel reformed while Earth-2 Caitlin remained sadistic
- Caitlin is the first person and dopplegänger from a different Earth to appear across all Arrowverse shows and only to appear in the first season of The Flash.
