“Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here! ”
―Kermit's catchphrase
Kermit the Frog is Jim Henson's most famous Muppet creation, and was the mascot and logo of the Jim Henson Company until February 2004 when Disney bought The Muppets and along with Bear in the Big Blue House from The Jim Henson Company, but Kermit becomes the mascot of The Muppets Studio, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company that was formed after The Muppets and Bear In Big Blue House were recently bought by The Walt Disney Company.
He typically introduced acts on The Muppet Show by waving his arms wildly and shouting "Yay!", a technique he learned from his old acting coach (in-universe) Mr. Dawson from Leland, Mississippi.
