Kanjigar the Courageous is a major protagonist in the Tales of Arcadia franchise as a supporting character in bothTrollhunters and 3Below. Kanjigar was the father of Draal the Deadly and the predecessor of Jim Lake Jr. as the Trollhunter.

Kanjigar was one of the best Trollhunters before his death at the hands of the Gumm-Gumm troll Bular. Initially angry that Jim is breaking tradition and formed a team of Trollhunters, Kanjigar realizes that Jim and his friends are stronger together, as the boy had told him.
In 3Below, it was revealed that he knew the parents of Aja and Krell Tarron, the main protagonists of the secon dpart of the trilogy and he was tasked with protecting Gaylen's Core.
