Jonathan Kent, nicknamed Jon, is a DC Comics character who appears as one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Jordan Kent)of the television series Superman & Lois. He is the son of Lois Lane and Clark Kent, the twin brother of Jordan Kent and a late unnamed female, and the grandson of Sam Lane, Ella, Jor-El, and Lara Lor-Van. He is also the adoptive grandson of Martha and Jonathan Kent (who is his namesake), the surrogate brother of Natalie Lane Irons, and the nephew of Lucy Lane and Tal-Rho. Unlike Jordan, Jonathan did not inherit his father's abilities, despite his status as a Kryptonian/human hybrid. He is considered a rare occurrence among hisand his father's culture, because twins were rarely born on Krypton.
Jonathan is more social, confident and the complete opposite with his brother. He also is quite talented with athletic process, giving him the shot at being the quarterback of his football team when he was just a freshman.
Inheriting both of his parents' bravery and compassion, Jonathan has a healthy relationship with all of his family members. He is also overly protective of his brother Jordan because of his social anxiety.
Jonathan is very loyal and protective towards the individuals that he cares about. For example, when he protected his girlfriend, Candice Pergande from being exposed as a drug dealer, but he had ended up getting caught, with X-Kryptonite. Unlike everyone else, Jonathan never taunted Jordan or made fun of his anti-social behavior. Instead, he encouraged Jordan to make friends with Sarah Cushing, their childhood best friend and go out more. However, Jonathan’s patience with Jordan does have its limits. For example, Jonathan grew angry at Jordan for trying to punch Jimmy Cutter in the face when the latter was mocking them both. Jon got in the way, but as Jordan hit his brother’s fist, he severly broke Jonathan's arm and preceded to yell at him afterwards. He also got irritated with Jordan because he eavesdropped on his conversation with Sarah. Jonathan started to put Jordan in his place, even throwing him to the ground. However, the brothers later reconciled after Jordan apologized for what he did.
Also, Jonathan and Jordan treat Natalie, the daughter of their mother's doppelgangert, as if she were their own sister. In turn, Natalie has considered Jonathan and Jordan to be her brothers because they were technically related.
