Agent John Crawley is a supporting character in the Alex Rider series. He is an agent of MI6 and rarely shows any emotion. However, John is one of the few agents/adults who actively cares about Alex's well-being.
Background[]
John Crawley is an agent of MI6 but at the same time acts as the personnel at the fictional Royal & General Bank. He also knew Alex's father John Rider, possibly explaining his kindness for Alex. He was also a member or involved on the Wimbledon committee. However, he still acts cold and distant like Alan Blunt does but is still an effective agent, a master of disguise, and martial artist and marksmanship.
Film[]
John's lastname "Crawley" was changed to "Crawford" at the request of the real-life MI6.
TV Series[]
John's surname remains Crawley and he has most of his character's personality from the books. Additionally, his past with John Rider is left up in the air, but it is implied he worked with him and his brother, Ian during their times as agents.
