Jetfire (originally known as Skyfire) is a supporting character in the Transformers franchise. He is a former Decepticon who grew disillusioned with their group. This results in him later defects to the Autobots' side.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Jetfire is awoken from the shard of the Allspark. He informs Sam Witwicky and his friends the history of the Dynasty of Primes and the Fallen's descent into darkness. However, he only reveals that a Prime can defeat The Fallen. Sam realizes his fallen comrade Optimus Prime could defeat the Fallen, but regretfully informs Jetfire the Autobot was killed by Megatron. The old Decepticon encourages him and his companions to finding the Matrix of Leadership, an artifact that could revive Prime. During the final battle, a dying Jetfire transfers some of his parts to the revived Optimus so he can defeat the Fallen.
