Jessica Andrews (born 1967) is the tritagonist of The Karate Kid III and a minor character in Cobra Kai Season 5. She was the cousin of Amanda LaRusso (née Steiner), one of the best friends of Daniel LaRusso, and the first cousin once removed of Samantha and Anthony LaRusso as well as the one set Daniel and Amanda up.
In 1985, Jessica and Daniel became close during their time together; however he was briefly romantically interested in her but lost this when she revealed her plan to get together with her ex-boyfriend. During their time together, Jessica and Daniel were accosted by Mike Barnes, Snake and Dennis de Guzman. Their developed friendship temporarily came to an abrupt end when Daniel was starting to get influenced by Terry Silver's rather dark teachings. However, the two friends reconciled shortly before the 1985 All Valley Tournament, which Daniel beat and won against Mike Barnes, leading to the end of Cobra Kai for thirty years.
In present day, Jessica is married with two daughters and a very talented climber and the one who set Amanda and Daniel up when the former moved to California to get away with the bad blood at home. In 2019, Jessica went to visit her aunt Joanne and cousins Amanda, Samantha and Anthony in Ohio. When Amanda was troubled by her latest separation with Daniel, the two cousins went to a bar with Anthony and Samantha. After trying to find out what is going on between Amanda and Daniel, Jessica learned from Amanda that Terry Silver returned.
Jessica finally told Amanda the true reason behind Daniel and Silver's rivalry but their night was cut short when Jessica and Amanda were accosted by their former bully from high school Lizzie-Anne. However, Sam saved her mother and cousin by hitting Lizzie-Anne with a karate sidekick, causing the LaRusso family to quickly leave before they were kicked out. After picking up takeout, Jessica recalled her own nightmares and that Daniel had ever reason to hate Terry Silver. In light of their bar fight with old high school rivals, She is portrayed

The Karate Kid III[]
In the third film, she is Daniel LaRusso's close friend and not his love interest. Jessica and Daniel get into conflict with Terry Silver, especially after he sent thugs after her and Daniel. When Daniel became aggressive under Silver's training, he becomes estranged from both Miyagi and Jessica after becoming cruel to them. He later found out that this was all part of an elaborate scheme concocted by Silver and his old war buddy John Kreese to get revenge on him and Miyagi for Cobra Kai's closing. Daniel and Jessica later reconcile and he wins the 1985 All Valley Tournament.
Cobra Kai Season 5[]
In the present day, Jessica is now married and with two daughters who are never named on the series. She travels around the world a lot and isn't an excavated climber and pottery maker. It turns out she is still haunted by experiences with Daniel in 1985, as she shutters at the share mention of Terry's name during her conversation with Amanda. It is also revealed that she was the one to set up Amanda and Daniel's relationship.
In 2019, Jessica visited her aunt and cousins Amanda, Sam and Anthony in Ohio, but is surprised to see Daniel didn't come with them. At the bar, Jessica and Amanda have a run in with a former high school classmate of theirs, Lizzie before telling her to get lost. As Amanda explains her current situation with Daniel to Jessica she separated from him, leaving him behind in San Fernando Valley. However, when Amanda mentions his former rival Terry Silver came back, Jessica choked on her beer. She decides to reveal to Amanda what happened between Silver and Daniel. Afterwards, The Andrews Steiner cousins get into a bar fight after being provoked by a drunk Lizzie until Sam intervenes, using her karate to protect her mom and cousin. They flee the bar before anything goes wrong or before the cops get there.
They pick up fast food on the way home, where Jessica praises Amanda for her daughter Samantha's Karate skills. Jessica also reveals that she is still haunted by the events of 1985 and that Terry Silver still gives her nightmares. This and Silver's assault on Daniel leads Amanda to finally reconcile with her husband and allow her to finally realize why karate is so important to him.
