Jedi Temple Guards

The Jedi Temple Guards are a minor faction in Star Wars.

They were an elite force of Jedi and minor protagonists in the Star Wars Franchise. During the days of Republic and the Clone Wars, the Jedi Temple Guards guarded the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. After the fall of the Republic, the Jedi were no more, and the Coruscant Temple Guards came to an end. One of its members who would become the Grand Inquisitor lost faith in the Jedi Order and became the world's first Inquisitor.

In Star Wars Rebels, several spectral Temple Guards including the Pau'an who became the Grand Inquisitor appeared in Kanan Jarrus' Force vision at the Jedi Temple on Lothal. After dueling with him, the spectral form of the Pau'an Guard knighted him as a Jedi Knight.
