Jasmine “Jazz” Fenton is the tetartagonist of the Nickelodeon television series Danny Phantom. She is the older sister of Danny Fenton and is aware of his identity after witnessing him turn into his ghost form. Viewing herself as the most rational and normal member of the family, Jazz often plays a surrogate parental role to Danny, thinking he is a naïve child in need of guidance, unaware that she is often smothering him. She is initially uninterested in the ghost hunting business with her parents and brother. However, after learning his secret, Jazz and Danny have repaired their relationship and while she is a reserved member of Team Phantom. As the series grows, Jazz realizes her brother is a hero and becomes one of his supporters while keeping an eye on Danny and covering for him.
After the series, she becomes the older, adoptive sister of Danny's clone Dani Phantom.

Jazz is considered a beautiful young woman with long, light orange hair, teal eyes magenta lipstick, and fair skin. She has a slim build and is in between her brother's and her mother's height. Jazz bears a strong resemblance to get mother, because she once tried to wear her mother's hazmat suit and her father mistook her for Maddie before Jazz revealed that it was just her. Jack mentioned she looked like her mother wearing the hazmat suit. She mostly wears her hair down, only having it pulled back into a ponytail when she is working out. She also has a teal headband, long-sleeved black shirt and shoes, and light blue Capri jeans.

- Ghost Hunting Expert: At first, Jazz wanted no part of ghost hunting because of the negative effects it had to both her and Danny. However , jazz learned to fight ghost animals that attacked her and her father when Maddie and Danny went on vacation together in "Maternal Instincts." She usually uses her parents' gadgets and other inventions to help her brother. Since revealing she knew his secret, Jazz had trouble in finding her place in Team Phantom, because she kept trapping her brother in the Thermos and inadvertently helped Skulker trying to steal one of their parents' devices. However, by Season 3, Jazz (along with Sam and Maddie) was able to easily apprehend Kitty, Spectra and Ember in "Girls' Night Out."

High-Level Intellect: Being the daughter of two ghost hunters, Jazz is quite smart, having inherited her parents' intelligence.
- Expert Tactician: Jazz is quite a resourceful young woman who can come up with get own battle plan. Her skills are useful when she goes undercover to seek out Vlad's secrets in his castle or manipulates Freakshow to figure out his weakness. Along with Maddie and Sam, Jazz was able to come up with a plan on how to return the males of Amity Park: by tricking Kitty and Ember into unleashing their banishing kiss and power enhancement respectively and reversing the spell by using her mother's invention the Maddie modulator
- Actress: Jazz is a very talented actress, managing to fool Vlad into thinking she had run away from home and was convincing to just be in Vlad's private lab and study just curiosity. She and Danny also used this skill into tricking him into thinking Jazz had destroyed her brother when it was all a ruse to defeat him and destroy Jack's exoskeleton suit.
- Martial Arts: Jazz is skilled in hand-to hand combat like both of her parents. At a young age she was seen defending Danny just by merely using a broomstick. Overtime, Jazz learned more martial arts

- Adult Mentality: Jazz sometimes forgets that she is still a kid and is growing up too fast, and has the mentality of an adult, but this also caused her to become smug and also smothering her brother. This was especially a weakness in the episode "The Fenton Menace," where Danny was the only one who could see Youngblood, a ghost who could not be seen by adults it children who act like an adult. Therefore, Jazz couldn't see Youngblood and was convinced that Danny was crazy until her brother threatened to destroy her teddy bear, thus getting Jazz to see Youngblood and help Danny stop him. This shows that she has overcome this even admitting that it's okay to be a kid once in a while because she is still one

Jazz is Dash’s occasional tutor and fellow student at Casper High School. Despite this, the two are not friends. Dash possesses a strong crush on Jazz, being smitten by her good looks, and has often made advances towards her. Jazz, however, doesn’t reciprocate these feelings and is quite disgusted by them. In fact, her rejection of these feelings are so strong that on one occasion when Jazz was sleeping she woke up screaming in horror after having a dream of her being married to Dash.
She has been shown to heavily dislike Dash due to his unintelligence, obnoxiousness, and especially for his constant bullying of her younger brother Danny for which she does little to hide her resentment towards him for. Despite this, Dash continues his advancements towards her, much to her discomfort.
