Jax-Ur is a supporting antagonist in DC Universe and a recurring antagonist in it's Superman franchise. He is the self-proclaimed worst troublemaker within the Phantom Zone and one of Superman's enemies.

Portrayal

Animation

In the DC Animated Universe series, Superman: The Animated Series, he is voiced by Ron Perlman, who also voices Slade Wilson from Teen Titans and Xibalba from The Book of Life.

He also appears in the animated series Young Justice, debuting in the fourth season, Phantoms, where he is voiced by Andrew Kishino.

Live-action

Jax-Ur made his cinematic debut in the 2013 film Man of Steel (the first installment of the DC Extended Universe). He is portrayed by Mackenzie Gray. He is a member of the Sword of Rao, trying to help General Zod in terraforming the Earth into the New Krypton. However, the plan backfires and Jax-Ur and the rest of his followers are thrown back into the Phantom Zone.

On the series, Krypton, a gender switched version of Jax Ur appears, where she is portrayed by Hannah Waddingham.
